Danish Siddiqui, a Reuters photojournalist, was killed in clashes in Spin Boldak district in Kandahar, sources confirmed. The Indian journalist was covering the situation in Kandahar over the last few days.

This journalist, regardless of his religion, was a Reuters employee--one of the best news agencies in the world. The guy covered all kinds of areas in his career and his coverage of the Rohingya migration was one of the best pieces of journalism in the world. If anything, his coverage may have been slightly 'anti-India' or 'pro Muslim' if it had to be looked through some bigoted prism.

I had not even heard of this journalist until today but since I have seen a few videos about him, my heart just bleeds for him. Even the Talibans have said that they didn't know a journalist was in the mix of the fighting.
