Isn't it true that the Spelling Bee requires more a rote-memory function ? But maybe I am wrong. I write this because India's education system is mostly based not on inquiry / research / asking based learning but rote-memorizing information to pass exams with as high as marks as possible by an individual. This fact has been internalized by Indian-origin emigres. Hence the quite a few Indian-origin winners of the Spelling Bee.

About politics, most of India's politics is based on demagoguery and not on rational debate, hence the extreme religiosity, regressiveness, anti-revolution and dog-eat-dog nature of Indian ordinary life. I find it hard to discuss progressive ideas with quite a few Indian members of this forum.

What map you looking at there? Clearly Pakistan has a Eurasian tilt. India is a special case.

Indian and Pakistanis are genetically closer than they are to the Chinese, Caucasians or Europeans. When somebody trashes on Indians regarding genetic features he is also trashing on many Pakistanis (South Asians).
