^^^^The speedy construction of a world class race track was possible only due to the participation of PRIVATE firms!!!If GoI had taken this responsibility, then it would have cost us another 1.60 Lakh Crores and it would have been completed(?) 20 minutes before the scheduled race!!!!

a) It IS a private track. Indian govt isn't interested in making something like this.

b) The track isn't complete yet.

I said "if" the GoI was involved!!
b) The track isn't complete yet.
I meant that it is being constructed and is on schedule!!!

So making F1 tracks is progress?

I'd rather the govt. spends money on something which affects the common people than solely the rich.

Yes,it is progress in that particular field, especially for motorsport enthusiasts like me.Also, you are contradicting your old post that the GoI is not involved in this and it IS a private track!!!So the GoI is not spending on it but is getting paid(entertainment tax......etc)!!!

The Officials also said
The work on the Jaypee Circuit is going on in full swing and the right on schedule. The track is expected to be ready by July.

Hey, I'm not knocking on the Private sector for making this investment. It's their money and they can do whatever they want with it. And I'm an F1 enthusiast as well, so I welcome this track.

However, I don't think investing in an F1 track is something which the govt should be involved in. I'd rather the govt. improved water and law & order situation in Greater Noida where this race is going to be held.
