Formula One supremo Bernie Ecclestone himself inspected the circuit progress and told that "The Indian Grand Prix track at Noida was well on course for completion for the next year October 30 race and it would not be a cause of concern like the controversy- marred build-up to the Commonwealth Games".Current Updates and Progress of Track: The foundation work is almost complete on the circuit. The track, paddock and all the safety regulations will be ready by May.The construction of grandstand, media center and surrounding areas can carry on and will be completed till end of July, 2011. For the moment, the work is progressing well and it will be ready on time. All the Teams and Drivers had been provided with complete insight for the Track Details and Specification so that they can also prepare themselves for the race. All the layouts for the track are already been confirmed and given to the Teams. The new circuit is under construction by Jaypee on a 2,500-acre site in the Greater Noida suburb of Delhi, which will also accommodate a kart track, a sports school, a golf course, cricket and field hockey stadiums, and other amenities. The facility will be ready for its first FIA inspection in July or August. The FIA deadline for the inspection is July 31. Siemens Ltd. on Dec 06, 2010 has won a $28 million ( Rs. 127 crore ) deal to install, design and engineer a special electronics package for Formula 1 race track. FIA race director Charlie Whiting has completed his latest inspection of the new Indian Grand Prix track - as circuit bosses continue to make preparations for October's inaugural event. President of the Federation of Motorsports Clubs of India (FMSCI) Vicky Chandhok says Whiting is happy with what he saw. "The track is well ahead of schedule," Chandhok told Reuters.
