When Scrapping of Article 370 was in headlines, another news caught attention of many which broke in Indian based newspaper The Print. The article came with the headline Modi govt had told US about plans to scrap Article 370 twice — last week and in February.
This suggested India took US on board on this major development. Pakistani legislators of opposition also used this as political weapon against Khan's government by questioning If Khan knew this already or was he double played?
However, after eye brows raised in Pakistan's assembly joint session on Kashmir issue, US States Department came up with the classification that debunked the claim.
