Why lock the thread? He's an Ex-Military guy, working as a defense analyst, and he's writing what the entire government of India has been doing, trying to damage this project through supporting serious increase in the terrorist activity inside Sindh and Baluchistan, as well we trying to make plenty of noise to the Chinese at all level.
India knows very well that the trade route will jump start Pakistan's economy like crazy. Within the next 5 years, Pakistan's defense budget is expected to grow, equaling Turkeys (18-20 billions per year). As Pakistan climbs through the top 15 economies, spending $ 25-30 billion on defense won't be a big deal. What that means is that Pakistan at a defense spending of $ 20 billion dollars, can easily neutralize the Pakistan specific forces. All that talk of conventional parity and supremacy from India, goes down the drain.
Plus add increased global relations, many countries rely on Gawader and then, Pakistan starting to compete against India is providing educated labor through services. All these are serious issues India faces. Pakistan is a much smaller country size wise, population and economy wise. But if it takes $ 10-20 billion of IT, Medical, R&D and other work away from India, that's still a pretty significant dent in India's revenues. So India is ALL hell bent in stopping the Chinese investment or damaging the progress through terrorism so Pakistan won't become another real pain, both militarily and economically.
