Indian forces has no proof of infiltrators crossing the border

Hard to admit insurgency is being carried forward by locals, eh ?

Maybe there is a bit of misunderstanding of the terms that are used.......

. But the Border Security Force (BSF) says there is no prima facie evidence to suggest that infiltration has taken place through IB.

IB = International border. When used in reference to J&K, it refers to what Pakistanis call the Working boundary, the area that connects Pakistani Punjab with J&K. LC is where infiltration usually happens.

The series of attacks carried out by rebels over the last one year in Jammu and Kashmir has been an unsolved riddle for the security forces and the intelligence agencies.

There has been a pattern since May 2013, when rebels have crossed the border and carried out fidayeen attacks. But there is no clarity on how they managed to sneak in.

Forces on the ground and intelligence agencies have not been able to identify the points of infiltration.

Many of these attacks have taken place in Jammu along the International Border (IB) leading to an assumption that they managed to infiltrate through these areas. But the Border Security Force (BSF) says there is no prima facie evidence to suggest that infiltration has taken place through IB.

Sources said most of the border is fenced and about 7 km is not fenced in Jammu due to the terrain which could be a vulnerable area.

"We conducted searches and every inch of the border has been reviewed. But there is no sign of the fence being cut or traces that can suggest that infiltration has happened," said top BSF officer.

BSF claims that areas that are not fenced are always heavily manned and if an infiltration takes place through these areas then there will be an exchange of fire. "Our review does not even indicate this," the officer added. "While there are inputs on infiltration attempts that have been foiled, there is nothing to suggest that where rebels had attacked they came through the International Border."

Even intelligence agencies like the Intelligence Bureau and Research and Analysis Wing have not provided any specific intelligence on this. Even the Army manning the Line of Control (LoC) has ruled out any possibility of penetration since a counter infiltration grid - a multi-layered mechanism - ensures that there cannot be any infiltration.

But sources say that the IB is certainly more vulnerable to infiltrations and it will continue to be so in the future. Rebels are attempting to find new routes to infiltrate from across the border. According to ground intelligence, Sambha, Ramgarh, Narayanpur checkpoint, Arnia, Akhnoor and Kathua in Jammu are highly vulnerable spots.

Dunno why Pakistani members are trying to twist the news. It is pretty self explanatory, which even a five year old can understand. So let me try to explain the same to Pakistani members. ;)

If it was known, which routes are being used for infiltration, then the forces would have plugged that. And no infiltration would be taking place. Because infiltration is still taking place, it would suggest that the infiltrators are using new and unknown routes.

It certainly doesn't mean, that Pakistan has discovered star trek technology, where captain Kirk, says beam me up Scotty, and gets transported across the border.

Sorry to disappoint but Pakistan doesn't have that technology yet, but don't lose hope, after developing tactical nukes, the next order of Pakistan is to develop this, molecular travel across time and space, so that they can go back in time, and finally get Kashmir, as they understand that in the present and the future there is no chance of that, so travelling to the past seems to be their best bet in this matter.

As for unmarked graves.. Read about war crimes, human right violations, forced disappearance of thousands of kashmiri youths, gang rapes n murders committed by indian army in IOK.

Like I said local Kashmiris are also recruited and given training in your country. Yeah human violation bla bla bla those unmarked graves are mostly of terrorists and suspected terrorists. Whatever argument we give you guys are of no use your perspective not going to change. Even in your country people bury Baloch insurgents with honor and respect.

The point being is the fedayeen pigs come from across the border with training and weapons, you can believe it or not but the reality cannot be changed. Like I said stop supporting terrorism your country has been hurt a lot cause of it.

I am done with this argument, Thanks.

if they don't even know where it is happening, how do they know that it is happening?

the news says that BSF don't know where exactly the infiltration occurs, that doesn't mean that it is not happening.

Since when Indians needed evidence. If it is not there, they ll fabricate it just like they did previously. Someone remembers the story of the wolf and the lamb?

The majority of this article is based on the comments of the BSF regarding the IB which is rather moot considering the infiltration has almost only ever occurred along the LoC for which the Indian army is responsible. So putting that to one side no official has been quoted to back up the BS assertion in this article that infiltration is impossible along the LoC not even an "unnamed" one. The Indian Army has proven this beyond any doubt.

The last paragraph is probably the only truthful one in the entire illogical article.

Anyway the title of this article has been manipulated to make a fallacious statement, @waz is this not against forum rules?

Pakistanis are mocking the death of there so called freedom fighters of whom which are more than 80% are Pakistani citizen from the other side. Tactic which was used in middle east for the sake of keeping the enemies image maligned so far only the family member still are suffering while there masters remain unmasked. Today Pakistani members have proved what former Prime Minister Vajpayee said was right in his poems about where the state of Pakistan was heading. Another denial will only benefit India's claim and the right to hold Kashmir as its territory since the cause has been left to its itself when cornered. Pakistanis now have completely lost its claim.

Sniper skirmishes always on the run but BSF is cunning they never show up problem is that ranger is mostly armed with SVD's good for suppression not for precision once a SSG sniper using .338 Lapua Magnum during a skirmish in haji pir sector, took out an Indian gunner in bunker he was like the one in image...

We are getting new sniper rifles.

Yes but mostly for PA,ranger will be next.

We need to arm rangers to pick these BSF walas. These people have the worst professional ethic ever. We do need to give them a pounding every now and then to keep them in line.

The BSF has got the 105 mm artilerry

It should start using it ; Mortars have such small range

no doubt in that see all high quality wine comes from Indian side, of course with help from BSF same with Drugs, fence has given them advantage smugglers pay them and transfer goods and when smugglers aren't paying well they get shot at border, look at amount of drug BSF captures.Ranger needs a dedicated Elite unit but still we are proud of ranger never they help smugglers never they shot unarmed civilians, look at decade record only BSF shoots unarmed civilians without warning at all borders.
