Indian Denial Accepting Sikhism, Buddhism and Jainism as Separate Religions

Well Pakistanis are more worried about Indian secular credentials than their own.

I guess Secularism is the greatest difference between us and them and they are trying very hard to diminish India's secular credentials. Even a Sikh, Buddhist or a Jain would agree that Hinduism has a influence in their respective faiths.

Hindu Indians are fools to imagine any Sikh, Jain or Buddhist likes to be called a Hindu. Sikhs have separate Regts. Kitchens and dining are separate for each. Temples are different. They hardly intermarry. Religious scriptures are different. Priests are different. They don't eat in each others houses. Will not share utensils or village wells. All this is a Chanokya move to devour the minorities. Muslims and Christians will be targeted in the next phase.

I bet you've any of these religious groups even once in your life. Here Jains and Buddhists intermarry with Hindus intermarry so much they are hard to recognize form each other. And Until recently, the eldest son in most Hindu families in Punjab would become a baptized Sikh. The pictures of Sikh gurus adorn the walls of Hindu homes along with Hindu deities. It is not uncommon to find Hindus at prayer meetings in Sikh temples, and vice versa. Although Sikh gurus vehemently opposed the rigid Hindu caste system, most Sikhs still practice it. Hindus and Sikhs intermarry freely both in India and around the world. And lastly your post is full of BS.

I think it went.... Vedas --> Hinduism --> Buddhism/Jainism

So technically they are branches of Hinduism.

Though their followers are not necessarily Hindus.

Jainism and Buddhism reject the vedas which are authoritative in Hinduism. Buddhism is actually a form of atheism,

If hinduism = buddhism = jainism = sikhism then using a similar logic can we say Judaism= Christianity = Islam ??

It's hardly any surprise , as Hinduism is a mambo jumbo religion.

Its has no structure or clear definition - its plain tribalism, worshipers of Satan, the devil, ghost and spirits, fake gurus/humans (e.g Sai Baba etc) and animals are considered as God and automatically labeled as Hindus.

The above might be true to some extent with Northern India esp Punjab/Sindh - intermarrying/adoption of Sikhis. That isn't the case with in South India. There was no love between the Buddhists/Jains and Hindus esp in the states of Tamilnadu and Andhra Pradesh !!! Theravada Buddhist were prosecuted by Tamil Hindu kings and they had to flee to Lanka and thus carry with them their anti Hindu sentiments which is reflected in their later day works

In Sri Lanka, the Buddhist Hindu conflict took the form of violent confrontation. The
Mahavamsa, the major Buddhist national chronicle of Sri Lanka (composed in the 6th century
CE or later) creates the image of Sri Lanka as Buddha’s own country which will only prosper
if Buddhism prospers. This meant to defend Buddhism primarily against the South-Indian
Tamils who were Shaivite Hindus and frequently invaded Sri Lanka. According to the
Mahavamsa, the Sinhalese ruler Duttagamani (2nd ct. BCE) went to war against the Sri
Lankan Tamils “not for the joy of sovereignty” but “to establish the doctrine of the Buddha”.
After having slaughtered thousands of Tamils he was consoled by eight Buddhist saints
(arhats). They assured him that these people had not been worth more than wild beasts, and
that he had brought great glory to the doctrine of the Buddha (Mahavamsa 25:109ff). Up until
today the Buddhist-Hindu conflict is one aspect of the Sinhala-Tamil war under which Sri
Lanka is now suffering for the last 25 years

I would rather prefer to live in a hindu majority country where hindus consider all dharmic religions as one and all other religions as one of the paths to god than to live in a muslim country where other religious people are treated as second class citizens and there religion or way of life is called as mumbo jumbo....

Obviously, Hindus do not need to measure their religion with the parameters set by childish Abrahmic religions where having a prophet, "book", SOP etc is compulsory. Hinduism is the pursuit of Dharma, the righteous way, and such a paradigm is common for all Eastern sects such as Buddhism, Jainism, Daoism. Buddhism, Jainism certainly come within the fold of Hindu philosophic thought but are considered Nastik as they do not recognize primacy of the Vedas - that however does not make them un-Hindu.

Don't show your pathetic ignorance everywhere.

Not everyone becomes a traitor on converting.

Buddhism does not reject vedas...buddha has mentioned that vedas where adulterated and hence he chose to find different path...when asked about god buddha chose to remain silent...thus he did not reject presence of god nor accepted it hence making buddhism an agnostic religion..

Atleast worshipping satan, devil ghost is better than worshipping so called god who asks his followers to kill those who wont believe him.

animals are considered as God and automatically labeled as Hindus.
Atleast animals are less insecure of loosing followers and animals dont encourage killing followers of other animals :omghaha:

Our secularism threatens their very identity and raison d'etre.

That's why.

They are being paranoid. We don't think we share anything with them and there is no going back on partition.

its not. jainism and buddism are rejection of hinduism.. but then religion back then was matter of opinion, you can change from democrat to republican and back to democrat within 10 years.. and in same household you can have both living together.

Not exactly, Hinduism is a very broad term. Actually a name given by outsiders. Since it is not a fixed ideology, and all incorporating, how can it be rejected? Jainism and Buddhism just sought a different way. They may call themselves as different, but from Hinduism point of view, they can be well within the framework.

at least these satan worshiper dont kill humans in name of god or eat innocent animals in the name of God. if you are follower of such god who asks you to do jehad to kill all humans of other religions or eat up the innocent animals on religious festivals then if asked by my opinion I would always choose Satan.

I dont know what the satan actualy is, but he is better than such god
