Exported to France, Germeny, US, Turkey etc etc but not ordered by the Indian military (other than bits and process here and there) :hitwall::hitwall::hitwall:

Chill!
Test it on others before you use it policy.
:coffee:
Sorry @Levina but that is illogical. Why should India require others to test their products? If there is one thing the Indian military can do it is testing equipment beyond all reasonable standards.

In fact most nations with highly developed MICs first induct their own products THEN export.

The MKU story is just another illustration of the broken procurement system the CONgress fostered.

It's never too late to start again.
Let BJP government ensure that our defence forces get it before others do.

Mam Army Spend More on Stationery and Paid trips to army gen than What MoD orders 140 crs to 100 cr peanuts
Indian defence forces- its like a ticking time bomb.
Before they solve other issues let them solve the internal politics that's being played.

@PARIKRAMA @anant_s @MilSpec @nair What about the F-INSAS ?

What about the tender to provide thousands of body armors to the indian army ?
-
Your average indian soldier is lacking everything a today's soldier needs including ;

-New and modern helmets
-Modular,lighter body armors (MKU seems to produce high quality of them,exported to many countries.)
-Night combat devices
-New,resistant and comfortable boots
-Ballistic glasses

Among the few...

The money unspent (or went only God knows where...) could have been used to provide decent equipments to those soldiers and those fighting in risked areas,like kashmir for exemple.

Wouldn't trust any indian product

All junk without any manufacturing oversight, not fit for purpose

Oops. :undecided:

True true, sadly I am jaded and impatient so nothing can ever be fast enough for my liking.

How true this is and the problem is that the senior civilian and military leadership play "whack a mole" ie tackling one issue at a time as it arises (usually because of a high profile incident), there is no proactive approach to systimatically improve the situation across the board. As always, Indian (so called) leaders are reactive.

What about the tender to provide thousands of body armors to the indian army ?
It is progressing but it is but a drop in the ocean as you have pointed out, the India soldier has basically nothing a modern soldier should have as part of their basic equipment.

The sad thing is all of the above could be (and is in many cases) be made in India by Indian companies but to the civilian and senior army leadership the life of the Indian soldier is cheap. They are still stuck in a C19th mindset where numbers>quality, until this is addressed (not going to happen anytime soon) this despicable state of affairs will continue.

could have been used to provide decent equipments to those soldiers and those fighting in risked areas,like kashmir for exemple.

In the interests of a balanced conversation, it should be noted that troops in Kashmir largely have the equipment they need (more so than the troops deployed in peacetime roles).

It's a fucking joke. Tonbo imaging supplied 5 countries before any users in India. What a joke.
It's actually beyond a joke at this point brother, it is CRIMINAL.
