India's space agency called off the launch of its second lunar mission, Chandrayaan-2, less than an hour before the scheduled take off on Monday (July 15) due to a "technical snag." Public Relations Officer at the Indian Space Research Organisation, Guru Prasad told reporters in India's spaceport of Sriharikota that a technical snag in the launch vehicle system prompted the postponement. The mission, dubbed by the ISRO chairman as the most complex mission it has ever undertaken, was scheduled to launch at 09:21 p.m. GMT, or 02:51 a.m. local time. Prasad told reporters a revised launch date would be announced later.
