honestly i have the same question...why were soldiers jumping?? can someone informed or from military background throw some light??

Rather then Hopping around Jumping and doing all that clown stuff one should show the Crowd Generals ministers about how fast they can move the gun in how quick they can set it up and fire few shows and then again move it to different position....

This is a training class demonstration, and in training Indians do some funny things, my nephew who is in army says that they do teach many useless things in training, the same is not with officers, I don't know who designed these drills

Seems like the ranks in the indian armed forces have a sour sense of humor. Is this considered hazing in india's defence arena?

Ya, there is a littlebit of hazing among lower ranks like sepoys and havildars, not in the higher ranks, they do this or ordered to do to impress top military officials, and the hoangover of raj is not over yet, not only in Indian army, in all subcontinental armies.

And FYI,those were not Airmen.You don't even know who are airmen.
