Indian army to be questioned over killing of Kashmiri
Police in Indian held Kashmir said Sunday they were investigating security forces over the killing of a youth in custody which has triggered angry protests in the disputed region.
Najeem Hussain, 20, was found dead in a forest in Poonch, 300 miles (480 kilometres) south of Srinagar, on Friday, leading to large protests against New Delhi's occupation over the Muslim-majority region.
The protesters accuse Indian soldiers and paramilitary troops of torturing and killing Hussain, a driver.
"A case of murder was registered against two personnel, one each of Army and Border Security Force (BSF), in connection with the death of Hussain," Police Inspector Kuldeep Raj said.
The two men have not been arrested but would soon be questioned, he added.
Nothing will happen to the Indian Army as usual...
