he Sukhoi Su-34 (Russian: Сухой Су-34) (export designation: Su-32, NATO reporting name: Fullback) is a Russiantwin-seat fighter-bomber.

The Fairchild Republic A-10 Thunderbolt II is an American single-seat, twin-engine, straight-wing jet aircraft developed by Fairchild-Republic in the early 1970s. The A-10 was designed for a United States Air Force requirement to provide close air support (CAS) for ground forces by attacking tanks, armored vehicles, and other ground targets with a limited air interdiction capability.

IA need CAS, not fighter bomber... CAS fighters are used to destroy tanks and armored vehicle while infantry on move. Fighter bombers are requirement of IAF. Su34 can join IAF not IA... You can't eat mutton when you are thirsty, only water can help you then,......

.
Su-34 is more suited for the Air Force. Something in terms of an AC-130 or a military (Gun carrying) version of the V-22 Osprey should be what the Army be looking for

the a10 would really be a better option but us may be reluctant and after all its US
Although the su 34 has much similarity with our MKI being derived from the same su27 family now iaf has sealed lips because they no after mmrca finance ministry will not allow a large sale so soon but they could get these in name of army after all iaf will donate its pilots in the beginning of any army aviation core

.

Hard to believe if ever they start production line again..

Hence news is not credible enough.

If I remember correctly I am pretty sure the A-10 was offered to Pakistan when it requested a Fighter in the 80s

Pakistan should think of countering this threat and should aquire a plane which is best

Not everything the Indians do, we need to follow pursuit. We have our own requirements besides not to mention our budget constraint. A good High altitude SAM system is what we need. Low and Medium range are already covered.

IA should be given LCA after FOC and Su34/35 should be bought instead of LCA by IAf .

.
Pakistan is horrible dream for India

Yes, even I was about to puke....

On topic:

For additional aircrafts in our inventory for IA we will have to build seperate infrastructure that will increase operational cost to much high,,,,,, also it won't be possible within 1 decade atleast.....

Need to enhance cooperation b/w IA and IAF
