Bear with me .
Who was there ? Mujahidin? Or your army ?
Mostly the army, but apparently some militants from Kashmir and Afghanistan tagged along.

No. I know people who fought in Kargil, that's not how it went down lol. Most of them made it back, and to this day Point 5353, the dominant feature of the region, is under our control.
Then I agree. The government was being stupid, but I wouldn't say that the military betrayed them.
Any way whole episode was utter failure as a military planning.Mostly the army, but apparently some militants from Kashmir and Afghanistan tagged along.

That's great to know, so Kargil is part of training in your military school? Not at all. We took Point 5353, the dominating feature in the region without having to escalate the situation to a full-scale war. Not only that, but we utilised a small number of troops (about 5,000) who managed to take on a force 6 times their size, and they managed to shoot down enemy aircraft too despite having no air support.
