Army Chief Assures Bhutan of Continued Support

Army Chief General Bipin Rawat is on a Goodwill Visit to Bhutan from 27 to 30 April. Today the Army Chief had an audience with, His Majesty Jigme Khesar Namgyal Wangchuck, King of Bhutan at Tashi Chhodzong Palace, Thimpu.

The King acknowledged historical and cultural relationships between the two Nations and the special relationship shared between the Indian Army and the Royal Bhutan Army.

General Bipin Rawat conveyed his gratitude to His Majesty and assured that the Indian Army would continue with its special relationship with the RBA in terms of training assistance and support in capability building.

Yes it is. you just need an Indian ID. Permit can be taken from Bhutan House in Kolkata or from Phuentsholing which is India Bhutan Border. You can drive your own vehicle or also you can hire a self driven car from Siliguri Assam. If the vehicle is not in your name than you just need a hand written authorization from the Owner of the vehicle plus a copy of the owners photo ID.
Its a beautiful country smooth roads and nice people. If you smoke than you need to carry your own cigges as it is banned in Bhutan. Max you can carry 200.
