Now if you are the GOC in C of Eastern Command, then you would surely know better. And he surely is still in the shadow of the OG, while I am not.

If you were in Kargil in the last ops, you would have come to know a bit more about me.

And I am from the Infantry and not a REMF as they say in the US Army.

But if you feel the troops are bristling, I will find out from the Governor or Mizoram, who was my GOC when I was commanding.

He surprisingly has less of grey than me and he does not dye!

And It is very difficult to find a person who took part in both 1971 and 1999 with over 28 years of historic gap, If Age restricts its Period, I wonder...

It is not been there and done that.

If troops are deployed against BD, it means that BD is a cognizable and immediate threat.

Even in 1971 such a situation never was there. It was there when the intent was to take East Pakistan on.

I have not seen deployment when I was in a position to see so, if indeed they were deployed, since I would have a role to play in my position.

Therefore, I am indeed astonished and alarmed with the pronouncement that the BD border is bristling with troops!

BTW, The names that you have mentioned served in 1971 and were there in the Army during the Kargil Ops.

To state that BD border is bristling with troops is totally loose talk.

The names you mentioned all know me.
