Pakistan protests alleged Indian airspace violation ISLAMABAD, Feb 16, 2006 (AFP) Pakistan said Thursday it had lodged a protest with New Delhi after an Indian aircraft violated its airspace over the Arabian Sea. The "provocative" violation occurred on February 13 when an Indian maritime aircraft and two Indian coast guard fast patrol boats crossed into Pakistan's zone, a foreign ministry statement said. The Indian plane made a number of low altitude passes over a Pakistani Maritime Security Agency vessel which was chasing Indian fishing boats poaching inside Pakistani waters, according to the statement. Two Indian Coast Guard Fast Patrol Crafts also approached "in a provocative posture with manned armament pointing towards the Pakistani vessel," it said.(Posted @ 20:10 PST)

This incident happened between the 13 and 14 february night at.. around 3 / 3:30 AM. the indian aircraft was flying VERY LOW and it violated our airspace 2 times!. then around 5 AM, two indian vessels in aggressive manner entered into our sea and and were at a distance of 3 or 2 nautical miles from our MM wahdat (maritime security agency's vessel) and stayed at that position for 2 hours!. on indian vessels, there were armed gunmens and their guns were pointing towards OUR ship.

cheak it out link

know where is our air force and where is our fucking Mirage os navy?? :wall: :wall: :wall: :wall:

This is not because we dont have a capability to shoot down their air planes what so ever. It is because we didn't want to do anything. The articles fails to mention the whole incident, and is looks like one sided.

In this article there is a need of why in the hell did they come into our sea and air, what was the exact reason behind it?

I dont see a reason to get mad over it when there is no detail.

Yes this is not because we do not have the capability to shoot the intruder down (also arguable) but it is because we simply did not detect the intruder aircraft sooner as our radar systems and networks are becoming obselete each passing day and their ranges are very limited.

Indian reconnaisance aircraft regularly violate Pakistani airspace and we simply don't do anything because we don't know if its even happening. Our major radar networks are centered around cities. So, in this case, the Indian aircraft took a leisurely flight across the international border, undetected, until it reached around Islamabad (way inside Pakistani territory) where it was 'finally' picked up by our radar networks.

This goes to show, we are in desparate need of airdefence systems and radar networks. Its been a problem since Kargil.

Yes my bad at that. I confused this report with a report a few months back. That time, the UAV came right across the international border and wasn't picked up until it was too late as it had already carried its reconnaisance mission.

Anyhow, that does not change the basics of the arguement. Our radar networks have big gaps in them which are easily exploited by the Indians all the time.

well radar is just like a old carp of car, jet are also old wowwwww what a air force welllllll MR kaleem saddat shoud think about to improve our combat fleet and should think about to get sum multi roles to get rid on mother fuker indian jets

whats an airchef suppose to do?he can give a request for more planes to the gvt.Its mushraff who shud take the decision.

Someone else was saying u had bought some of the worlds best radars,u can start using them now.

multi roles, it was just an UAV which was detected u dont need an multi role to tackle a UAV.we dont yet have such advanced UAVs.

Well,

You say what an air chief can do wow, hmmm air cheif can do a lot because second world war proves that if any country have a good air force, a country can defend and offend, its simple and our moto is offence is a best defence so he should tell Musharaf that we are not in good possition, if some one want to cross our borders we will be unable to kill so its simple and i bet Musharraf should take action on it.

WW2 proves, there are more recent examples of op desert strom that proved the AFs role in modern day combat.

Well he can say?we also can say but the secion is with the bureaucrats or the est.
AF cheif is suppose to put best use of whats available to him and communicate the shortfalls.

I was making the point in the prev post where u where blaming you chief for the state of PAF.

Yes, ultimately it comes down to the highest authority in the country which has the power to make decisions on defence articles acquisitions. That authority has the funds, the contacts and the capability to enable the forces to procure what they want.
