Perhaps it wasn't a SPYDER hit in the first place.There is a talk in inner circles of PAF that it was an Amraam 120-C which actually downed the heli.
Blame was put on SPYDER and both sides remained silent on the issue.
I believe this issue has been discussed somewhere on pdf before.

Yes I also read to same effect.
It's funny that next day after their so called Balakot strike, the Indians sitting in Delhi were claiming casualty figures that supposedly occurred inside a building, but it took them some 9 months to disclose that they shot down their own helicopter which occurred right over their heads.
Indians as always as credible as an ashtray on a motorcycle.
