Indian Air Force to develop airbases in northern region specially in Kashmir

Nov 24, 9:12 AM

The Indian Air Force's Western Air Command (WAC) decided to develop its airbase and landing ground infrastructure in the entire northern region, particular in Jammu and Kashmir.

On the last day of the two-day commanders conference of the WAC in New Delhi yesterday, it was also decided to provide a robust air maintenance operations for the Army's Commands operating in the region under its control.

The WAC has nearly 20 airbases in the region covering Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Jammu and Kashmir and Uttarakhand.

It has in the last two years opened three strategically important Advanced Landing Grounds in Daulat Beg Oldi, Fuk Che and Nyoma in the Ladakh region of Jammu and Kashmir to provide quicker access to troops during emergencies.

. . . . .
i dont think it is part of cold start strategy.

opening of new airfields gives more options to operating airforces. i think increasing the number of airfields will increase problems for pak in war scenario.

Exactly. Increased problems for the enemy mean increased response time which is a crucial requirement of cold start.

Aaaaa!Cold start is too hot to handle by neighbours!!!! Lol hehehe

.
IT WILL ALSO END WITH COLD END

:rofl::rofl::rofl::pakistan:

It's amazing how stupid some people can be... the whole purpose of "Cold Start" is to avoid a "Hot End". But I doubt you know what either of those terms mean.

Anyway, these new bases will definitely facilitate India's Cold Start strategy (which probably won't be mastered until 2020-2025 btw) while at the same time serving as a general boost to the IAFs capabilities.

Plz, don't allow trolls to spoil this thread.

We need more airbases and ALGs in Kashmir equipped with CAT III. And also few more all weather road routes to the Kashmir.

:oops:What a surprise from your post, i was shocked. Indian aggression is reaching to a point from where its graph line will be down to 0.00 percent. Lets see what will be next.

Didnt you exceed the limit on the number of smilies in your post?

EDIT: Looks like you just touched it.. Since its not allowing me to even put 1 in my response.. :-)

i see it as a defensive preparation... to prepare fast in case of any emergency
takes lesser time if its air lifted..
considering our neighbours building roads in our border..
airfield construction is actually a minimum preparation
india need to build roads and railways and have army there . that ll help in cold start.
