Oh come one guys. When I said it is the same cost as the Apache I meant Apache AH64A not AH64D (The latter being double the cost)
Well, we are getting AH64D block III in 27-28 million dollars without spares. Also there is no information about LCH deal whether it includes spares, weapons and all. Yeah we all know LCH can't be so costly but we have nothing to support our views.Secondly I meant the cost the US Army buys them for. When we buy them they are sold for much higher.
Well what we are getting is AH64D block III and theres no doubt that it is the best chopper in the world, there's simply no comparison.second is the reason for chosing lch as it is more capable than apache
Actually 22 choppers are worth 600 million $ and rest is for spares and missiles. But your other point is true, indigenous is indigenous. Also LCH is not that bad.India buying 22 Apache for $ 1.4 billion and 65 LCH for $1.4 billion. Which one is cheaper?
Is there something to support this ?/LCH cost include all life cycle cost, spares, kits, weapons like helina ,rockets etc,etc..
Apache also has a very high service ceiling. This machine is useful at high altitude
Man, everybody knows this but all this cost is very low in case of a helicopter rather than a fighter jet. Also i think this should be less for LCH specifically because it derives many systems from Dhruv and hence its development cost should be lessYes It is and it has to be....
Reasons??
1. The cost include development expense.
2. It includes Infrastructure cost as well....
Development cost is always high for products.. Unless large volume is ordered The cost is higher....
