Your info is wrong, Kashmiris came out in huge numbers to vote for the BJP-PDP govt in the state.
Only in the recent SRINAGAR BY POLLS the turnout was low due to threat of terrorist attacks on the pollling stations.

KPK celebrating independence day on 15th of august(Indian Independence day) instead of 14th.
