India won’t increase Navy forces at South China Sea

India has ruled out increasing its naval presence in the South China Sea, saying it is just concerned about uninterrupted and safe passage of its ships for trade. The Defence Minister A K Antony today, however, said that India will keep visiting these waters for naval excercises to protect its core areas of interest. Mr. Antony was talking to newspersons in New Delhi this morning on the sidelines of the ongoing Armed Forces Commander's conference.

On Chinese Army's presence in Pakistan occupied Kashmir, ***, the Minister said they are present in the area since a long time. He said India is aware of the fact and has conveyed its concern to China also. Mr. Antony said, for the last several years, India has strengthened its capabilities in the Eastern sector on its own territory.

The Defence Minister added that the country will receive the refitted Gorshkov warship next year.

well now there is not any urgent requirement to increase but yes we have to increase our navy power

Stupid move. Instead IN should have silently moved warships WITHIN Vietnamese waters WITH Vietnam's permission, as our oil blocks grow. This stupid government thinks that PLAN will remain saintly and not needle there. Very unfortunate.

Mate! Do you believe IF India refrain China will sit quietly? Don't you remember how many time China did provoked India due to her aggressive policy? India need to follow the same aggressive policy in certain areas to stop unnecessary needling from anybody on her sensitive issues.

Why always we're so defensive? Why we're so afraid for? If we afraid or refrain China will leave claim of AP?

we gave those people stapled visas,because Kashmir being recognized by the world as a disputed territory,and pakistan is china's best friend, we have to consider our friends feelings

some area,yes,india can also send your engineers there,but we can't Guarantee your safty if a china-vie conflict break out in the disputed area
