India wants 'final solution' to Pakistan diverting US aid

India on Thursday said it will continue to take up the issue of Pakistan diverting American military aid against it with the US till the time there is a "final solution" to the problem. Defence minister A K Antony said the past experience and track-record shows that instead of using the American military aid in the fight against Taliban, Pakistan is diverting it against India.

"This is a matter of serious concern. We have already conveyed it to them (US) and continue to do so until and unless we find a final solution," he said when asked if India had conveyed its concerns to the US on the issue.

India has been raising the issue with top US leadership in the recent past after it was found that Pakistan Army was diverting weapons and equipment supplied by the US for fighting the Taliban on its western frontiers to its eastern frontiers against India.

The defence minister was talking to reporters after laying a wreath at the Amar Jawan Jyoti on Vijay Diwas commemorating the surrender by Pakistan Army before Indian forces in Dhaka on December 16, 1971.

He said the armed forces should re-dedicate themselves for protecting the nation's integrity.

On this day, Pakistan Army's Lt Gen A A K Niazi surrendered with his 93,000 men before Indian troops led by the then Eastern Army Commander Lt Gen Jagjit Singh Aurora in Dhaka.

Internal matter between India and US. Mind your own business.

Not really, since it deals with the US-Pak relationship. It is the US that would be primarily concerned about 'aid diversion to the Eastern Front', for which there is no evidence, unlike the claims made by the Indian defence minister. But then lying and speaking half-truths is pretty standard business for the Indian politicians and media - how else can they brainwash Indians into hating Pakistan and deflect from their domestic failures.

If Pakistan was objecting to US weapons sales to India, then your argument would be more apt.

It's their internal affairs, India should not interfere.

OT: Hey Paladin, I like your signature. :) Can you tell me where it is from?

Hey... Thanks its actually a quote from a game called "World of Warcraft".

But i really like it, it's very bold and inspiring. The kind of speech a great general would give to his army.

No one ever expect anything fruitful to come out of this .

Just like American weapons to Pakistan don't come with "don't use this on India" label.

Also like someone here mentioned American aid is mere payment for using Pakistani logistics and services for WOT.
So its Pakistani money and they"ll invest it where they feel its in their nation's best interest.

all in all its just the traditional "we are not soft on Pakistan" ad for the opposition and domestic audience.

Agnostic is anything but brainwashed... If you stick around longer you will realise that...

I never meant that he is brainwashed. I only wanted to turn his point and place India where Pakistan is, and place Pakistan where India is in his statement. Just make some basic observations - see which country has seen the what kind of governance since independence. See which country is obsessed with the other's territory. See what has Pakistani student learnt in school during Zia's rule.

How many times have you seen Pakistan complaining about what India is getting and you compare that with India and maybe in your deluded state, you will realize who's obsessed with whom.

And for you Mr A K Antony get a life. The world does not revolve around Indian wishes or should i say wet dreams.:disagree:
