India wants envoy to accompany spy Jadhav’s wife

*wild theory hat on: I think Pakistan is probably expecting to get/is getting some information/anything for their own officer that was kidnapped. There might be a deal on it. Thus I think they might allow Indian envoy with the wife.

Col. Habib was stupid, a man of his caliber and background should have known better. He got greedy and that got the better of him. He is never coming back from Nepal!

Back on topic: F.O should say "NO" to the request. But you never know, they could request counselor rights for Jadhav, although based on the allegations against Jadhav it would be up to to the Pakistani government to accept or decline the request.

Correction:- India wants spy to accompany spy's wife

Most attache's are spies with posh titles!

All attache's and liaison officers are declared one and some others are not.

you should comment on Pakistani matters when you get enough balls to accept the Asylum seekers affiliated with ISIS and TTP

Your problem is not our problem. When they become our problem then we handle them in our best interest. Switzerland isn't even giving asylum to separatists from Balochistan, you are just pulling ISIS out from hat. I don't know which people you are talking about, but just for argument sake if we are doing it then they might be our "Afghan Taliban" or "Moderate Islamist" or "Kashmiri freedom Fighters" or "Suicide bombers who are legitimate representatives of population rather than some puppet regime in Kabul"that serve our interest. Its just realpolitik. I won't sugar coat it.

And as I have accepted what you claim, I believe I can comment on anything. :) Cheers!

Just don't come to us begging when all the political asylum seekers go bonkers in your neutral paradise

No matter how stupid you are, armies never leave anyone behind("in principle"). This was one of the reason NATO choosing small caliber rounds to disable rather than kill soldiers of other side, as his brothers in arm will come to his aid and take him back. And this is what in part motivates a soldier to fight and die for. If Pakistan leaves the said colonel behind(which I think it will not, that's not how professional army operate), it will set a very bad examples for others people working for Pakistan state in the field. Though intelligence operatives know they will be disavowed in public all efforts are made in the shadows to get them back. There are lot of examples during cold war and also India's pursual of case in ICJ is clear indication of what I said(though its being done publicly).

Your concern for us is appreciated much. We have survived worst and came out better. Going by our past record, I have full trust our authorities decision making skills. We know when to cut loose and when to latch on.

the only reason people tolerate your self righteous attitude is the fact you have found a way to whiten the black money of all the corrupt politicians of the world.

goodluck with your endeavors

He was a RETIRED colonel! His visit to Nepal was to get a Job as a Security Manager for an NGO. He knew what he was getting himself into.

Retired or serving, I will still stand by my argument. Your argument of being "retired" might work for foot soldier but not for high level officer who worked in intelligence(not sure about intelligence part). To gain loyalty an organization has to show more than ordinary devotion to its subjects. Otherwise armies would be like any company where relationship is purely transnational and when going gets tough employees switch to competitors or companies fire their employees.

I agree our neutrality is/was a facade. In past we fought as mercenaries for both Waring sides, sometimes in the same battle. In world war we were kind of not neutral(forced to side with Hitler but rooted for allies) and in cold war claimed to be neutral but actively supported America. we even had part in enabling your nuclear program (which you are so proud of now) and later sanctioned you for it. In conclusion, we work in the our best self interest. We are not god and being humans we have the luxury of being a hypocrite. But the question is can you learn from us? From the past and present events I would say not.

Keep reading those books lad, reality is not as clean! No one is asking you to change your stance, I'm not fickle so your approval or disapproval my argument bothers me naught, posturing in such a manner in a debate makes you sound like a cockalorum.

Coming back on topic now please!

Go preach your Swiss values to someone else. If there is anyone self righteous in the world then Pakistanis call dibs on that.

Welp, agree to disagree. Time will answer everything. This KB issue is too hot to drag on. Soon things will fall in their place. Quote me when it does. Now back to the topic.

I could not agree more on that. I hope they get to cash out their "Self righteousness" and find its worth it. I would take my leave of the thread. Ciao.
