But you are only telling half the story. Bangladesh is an LDC, Least Developed country.

If Pakistan has the right leadership, it should be on par with Japan, Taiwan, or South Korea.

Quite strange, especially BD vs Pak:

BD sells 4K new cars per year; Pak sells 300K cars per year

BD consumes 150K bpd of petrol; Pak consumes 1m bpd (official) + a huge amount unofficially via Iran

BD professional builders produce 10K housing units (only 60-70% can be sold); Pak builds 300K units (folks are put in allocation as demand is more than supply)

Corona has pushed 40% of the BD folks below poverty line (back to yr 2000 level); Pak economy is heating up during Corona

BAF last purchased 8 Mig-29s in 1999; PAF adds a squadron a year

For most part all 3 are in the same ballpark with negligible difference although by the end of 2010s decade Pakistan a little bit behind

Looking at the bars, it is very clear that Pakistan has gone down rapidly after 2008 , after Musharraf offered NRO to the thieves. The wholesale loot started and Pakistan has ended up far behind.

The thieves still say "They have progressed Pakistan".

basically whenever our west is secured and we can trade with them things naturally go up

3 things are needed for Pakistan in the future

- Our west is peaceful and we are trading with them
- China FTA, CPEC (which is not a trade route, its an investment into infrastructure of almost every Pakistani economic engine like steel, agriculture, tech etc)- so another investment from a powerful country like in the 60s but unfortunately it turned towards a transactional/ military focused relationship
- Cheap gas from central Asia, cheap oil from Iran

This with proper/decent governance and export oriented policies can really turn things around for Pakistan imo

Indian trade would have been good but it means giving your balls to your enemy state and asking them to squeeze it whenever they feel like it

unless we are sure that our relationship can be neutral for at least 50 years trade shouldn't be possible

There are lot more factors many people do not realise. Straight comparison of GDP is very misleading and does not show the real picture.
Looking at the standard of living in Pakistan , compared to India and BD, there is something definitely missing.

Thanks to 80% of economy being undocumented, untaxed etc., Pak had somehow survived when traitors were put in the highest positions to kill Pak from inside….

This explains why indians brag so much. They were behind us for the longest time. I dont remember pakistanis ever bragging that we were better from 47 to 95.
