India is giving a few messages by giving a disproportionate response to LOC firing

1 Peace on the LOC has to be enforced ; it just cannot be hoped for or wished for
India wants peace but will retaliate to infiltration ; cross LOC attacks and the supporting fire
given to infiltrators

2 Secondly and more importantly is the spectre of terror attacks on Mainland India
and how differently will India respond ie

We Indians simply adopted proxy warfare from our neighbours. It is you that funded the terrorists that launched attacks on our part of kashmir, which resulted in civlian and military casaulties. So by investing in Afganistan, and supporting the proxy forces there that would launch attacks into pakistan would teach you a very valuable lesson. The damage afflicted by the proxy forces seem adequate. Two can play that game, my friends.
