how could someone say that it is not against pakistan? in reality if u dont go against pakistan even intentionally and go against china directly the actually u are going against pakistan because of unique and special situation of the region.
on second point through foreign office statememnts nothing is put forward but it is put to feed international community what response should the Intl. community expect from the statement issuing side? so dont think we did not klnow that it was coming and we did not prepare for. we did our preparatioand will continue to do so because we want to apprise the world that it is other who is blowing the unbalance in region not the us .

India's defence expenditure is not against Pakistan, but for power projection in IOR and against China. Even the US - India deal is against China not against Pakistan. If you want to take India's defence expenditure and India - US deal are against Pakistan, that it Pakistan's problem not India's.

In spite of what your foreign office says regarding escalation of arms race in the region, India will continue to out spend most other countries across the world on enhancing its military.
