Why USA is getting so close to India? Even they are ready for transfar of technology for F-16 or F-18 in MRCA deal. Which they even not completly transfared to Turkey or Israel, India is already having more weapons then Pakistan?
Besides that USA is also showing their honesty to Pakistan. So wts the hidden secret?

Haliry is saying that 9/11 responsibles are in Pakistan?
Wt could be the purpose of this baseless statement.

Its quite simple really, India is growing to become the largest arms importer in the world and the U.S has a lot to offer to India in terms of technology. U.S is not doing any favor to India by offering technologically advance defense equipment. India has billions to spend and the U.S has a lot to offer.

US is so scared of Muslims that they do n t even trust their friendly Muslims countries.
This deal is one example of it.
I think Pakistani already got their first warning. By arming our enemy means that American want business with Pakistani.

Not necessarly, coz we are in the process of aquiring other defence equipments like P-8i orion etc etc, if I am correct.

It is P-8I Poseidon and not Orion the deal has already been finalized for 8 MMA for $2.1 billion.

The end user agreement is a standard document that any country has to sign before it can get its hands on US military hardware. Generally for non-NATO countries, specific agreements are signed for every purchase of defence equipment from the US. But, in India’s case, since the market is so large and potential deals expected to run into tens of billions of dollars, the US was of the opinion that India should sign a common end user pact that will hold for any military sales from the US to India, thus negating the requirement for specific agreements for specific deals.

Having said that, there were certainly obvious concerns in India about the terms and conditions of the agreement and most felt that if India had signed the agreement in its most general form then it would amount to a serious infringement on the sovereignty of the country. The opposition as usual, looking for an issue to get one up with govt, termed this deal as a sell out to the US. But according to sources, the agreement has been heavily customized to accommodate India’s concerns and the resulting agreement appears to be a huge bargain in favor of India, just like the nuclear deal. Here are the major modifications that have been made to the end user pact-

According to this pact, the US has agreed to India's terms for selling military equipment to the country. The military sale agreement paves the way for huge military equipment sales by America to India.
In a departure from previous agreements with other countries, America has agreed to India's terms.
Under the pact, the US will not have a unilateral right to inspect India's military bases or military equipment sold to India.
Inspection of equipment sold by the US to India will be done at a place and time of India's choice, and with mutual consultation.
This pact which is yet to be signed between the two countries will be binding for all future US military sales to India.

The agreement will be frozen once signed, and future US laws cannot impinge on it.

So, it appears that we have walked away with a major concession once again just like the nuke deal. Indian leadership and most importantly Indian diplomacy stand vindicated!

India signed the Indo-US deal under Dr Singh who get pressured easily and also is naive to believe US is sincere(Just like Nehru believed Chinese).

This could be a ruse to understand India's nuke program and take it out systematically.US it putting pressure to sign NPT, CTBT, FMT and also now this end user agreement. This is quite a change from 98 when they had little access and no knowledge about India's Nuke tests and they had vowed to never let anyone and India get away again....

So India needs to careful in sharing information and giving access. Given the current economic situation and military balance, India needs another 5-6 years before it can sustain a military campaign using indigenous enuf weaponry....

India cannot at this time afford a conflict and therefore needs to cautiously stay on america's side (without kneeling...over) and allow the economy to grow 8-9% for 5-6 years and allow the defence industry to reach a critical mass on an inetrnational scale.So we need to keep the US engaged without signing the NPT, CTBT, FMC...build its military abilities, economy...and avoid conflict.....

quite a tough ask...given that US can provoke a confilct with China/Pak whenever it wishes so by sowing confusion.....food for thot
