I really need to see a Chinese history book. The People's Republic of China wasn't admitted to the UN till 1971. Taiwan held the seat till then. So what did you beat the UN in? Arm wrestling?

Depends on what side of the coin people outside of CHina want to believe in. The Han chinese have brought opportunities (good and a few bad ones) by way of infrastructure (roads and railways). Remote regions of Tibet are now well governed no matter how much you have a dislike for the CCP cadre and its overly nationalistic fervour.

Be pragmatic. Today the Tibetans have a lot on offer to choose from in terms of options for getting ahead. Yes, they are overshadowed by the business acumen of the Han Chinese. Yes, they have limitations on functionings of their religion (closely monitored) but for Tibet to stay as part or as an autonomous region of China.. is in its best interest than be a separate entity.

(Forgot to mention the 'bad' part of it... it was indeed heartbreaking to see Tibetan women nowadays being forced into prostitution by gangs operating in Lhasa and the official treatment to this problems is 'see no evil, hear no evil, know no evil').

I think it is a bit too much to characterized the assumed inaction of corrupt local Tibetan government official as "Official treatment" as in the official position of the PRC.

Or you are implying that Chinese government is bias/racist? Boy! that is nasty!

China does has a modern law and order system that deal with this sort of things. It isn't perfect but that is not due to lack of trying.

Has India agreed to the urges of the exiled Tibetans? NO
Has any dialogue between India and China has happened (yet)? NO
Would India take up the exiled Tibetan's case in the next meeting with Chinese officials? A BIG NO.

Therefore the long trail of trollings on both sides of the (internet) border better stop . Take the news with a pinch of salt and stop taking pot-shots at each other.

Bodhgaya: Exiled Tibetans and monks took out a march in Bodhgaya on Sunday, urging the Indian government to discuss and take up the issue of gross human rights violation inside Tibet allegedly by Chinese forces before the United Nations.

They took a round of the Mahabodhi Mahavihara Temple, holding photographs of Dalai Lama, candles and placards reading ''Save lives of Tibetans in Tibet'' and chanting prayers.

Addressing a news conference, a member of exiled Tibetan Parliament, Dawa Tsering, said their compatriots inside Tibet are facing atrocities by the Chinese administration and are not allowed to practice their culture and religion.

"We have called a press conference in Bodhgaya to explain the current situation inside Tibet. Since 2009, around 95 of our brothers and sisters have resorted to self-immolation because their rights are violated. They are not allowed to talk in their language or practice their culture and religion. We want freedom of Tibet and also let Dalai Lama enter into Tibet,” said Tsering.

“A resolution must be passed on this matter and a letter should be written in this regard to the UN and their Human Rights Commission. The Indian government must clear their stand that the human rights violation happening in Tibet is against the international law and human being. So, we have come to seek help from Indian to implement human right laws in Tibet,” he added.

Scores of Tibetans had reportedly committed self-immolation against what they termed as rising atrocities by Chinese administration.

Nowhere did I said CCP can do no wrong. Actually I implied the opposite. Local Tibetan government is part of CCP, and I said that the same type of corrupt official are found elsewhere in China. That means CCP can often times do wrong.

What I object to is the use of the word "official" by you because that imply that the illegal act is accepted or even encouraged.

It is the kind of loaded narrative like saying Tibet is "occupied" that is often employed by China detractor which is disingenuous.

Kashmir and naxalite issues would be taken first at the UN. The Tibet issue would be presented in the Davos meeting to showcase how China has transformed a feodal society, deep rooted in abject poverty, slavery, superstitious beliefs and discrimination into a modern and economic super power region of China whereby the infrastructures and toilet facilities are better than in Slumbai and Delhi. Now the jealous so called exiled Tibetans (while in reality they are all born in India and living as parasites on the back of India and from donations from the Western racists) are envious of Tibet that they would like to regain the Tibet territory.
