...the difference now is that at least they are pretending to investigate. They can't turn up the rhetoric to the level of beating war drums(unlike in the past) bcuz then their public will expect retaliation against Pak...which would be another embarrassment. So this is their safe way out. This way they can appear tough to their domestic sheep audience...buy time to "investigate"...which over time would die down and wouldn't be as significant to the public. Then they can do the same old BS of "Pakistan funded it" according to their "investigation" and cry in front of the world about it.
