Excellent news, finally reaping the benefits of homegrown vaccine

Some states like Maharashtra,Haryana, Rajasthan and one more (don't remember the name) has issued global tender for vaccines .From next week we are going to get Sputnik Jab apart from Covaxin and Covishield.

2.16 billion in 3 months that is 15% of world population. Claim seems like on much higher side as it is not just about manufacturing capacity but other issues as well just like supply of raw material and demand for other products.

Seems more like a political statement/target rather than a through plan.

India's overall capacity to produce vaccines is 3 billion per year, there is a possibility of increasing production capacity if the manufacturing occurs in both shifts

As you stated raw materials can become an issue

I doubt that. Not possible. Furthermore each vaccine has its own process and tech. So the total capacity of e billion can be converted for covid manufacturing also seems false.

As i said earlier seems like a political statement.
