India will perform for the first time at the Tank Biathlon competition in Alabin near Moscow on its T-90

Indian tankmen will bring their T-90 tanks for the first time to the Tank Biathlon contest, which will be held within the framework of the third Army international games at the Alabino training ground near Moscow from July 29 to August 12, the deputy chief of the Main Directorate of Combat Training (GUBP) of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Major Dmitry Gorbatenko.

"In the tank biathlon for the first time on its technology, on the T-90 tanks, India will participate. Belarus will perform on four of its T-72 tanks, which underwent a deep modernization. Traditionally, China participates in all competitions in all competitions, "Major General Dmitry Gorbatenko said during a meeting with foreign military attachés from 32 countries.

The deputy chief of the GUBP also noted that the remaining participants in the tank competition would receive Russian T-72 tanks. At the same time, participants of competitions in other countries have the right to use either their own technique or the technology of the host country. "Russian servicemen will participate in competitions on their equipment," Major General Dmitry Gorbatenko added.

A invite has been sent to Israeli Army too. Would be awesome if they come with their Merkeva.

China is also taking the International Army Games very seriously. For the 2016 Tank Biathlon, Chinese engineers developed a special version of the main tank of the Chinese army - T-96B.

Any thing on Type 96 B
That is very true. Not only tank biathlon, China is also actively participating other military games as well. Type 96B is now being mass produced.

How much impact would 2-3 MK1 out of ~250 have on the important armor formations?

Only ~120 MK1

Its the Major General saying T90 vs sources saying Arjun.

From your own quoted article.

" Major-General Dmitry Gorbatenko said during a meeting with foreign military attaches from 32 countries that India may bring its T-90 Bhishma tanks for the games.

A source in the Indian Ministry of Defense told RBTH that India was likely to use its indigenous Arjun tanks for the biathlon."

Major General who conducts the whole event vs a " Source".

And less said about IDRW , the better.

Send in the arjun....let people see how much it can out match the T90 bhishma, iam not T90 lover either, i hate both...

and sending T90 only does favor for Russia. if it wins, just help Russia win more exports.
