It will be possible in a few years. Right now, even we are struggling with funds. But the Russians will be helping you out for now anyway.
In the short term, we should be able to transfer all our Mi-24/35s to Afghan, if necessary, say 2021 or 2022. In the mid to long term, post-2025, we will be able to offer the LUH, ALH, Rudra and LCH once production frees up.
After 2025 or so, when the AAF has enough experience with the Super Tucano, I'm hoping GoI offers up half a squadron of LCA Mk1As and create the road for a fighter jet fleet in the long term.
It will take sometime to free up the IA's reserves of T-72s and BMP-2s though.
For now, we will be paying for Afghanistan's weapons purchases from Russia.
