LOL, here are the actual facts:

China's latest GDP growth rate = 9.2%

India's latest GDP growth rate = 6.1%

And considering that China's base economy is four times larger than India's to start with, the disparity is even more enormous.

You guys like to predict that China's growth rate will collapse, but it backfired... and now it happened to you instead. Even though you were already so far behind in the first place.

China's growth rate is not 9.2%, it is 8 point something %

China's economy expanded at its weakest pace in 2-1/2 years in the latest quarter, with the sagging real estate and export sectors heralding a sharper slowdown in coming months and fresh pro-growth measures from the government.

and it was 8.9 not 9.2.....hence slowdown is same everywhere

Actually India might fall behind Canada this year because the rupee keeps falling and the Canadian dollar keep gaining strength.

In nominal USD terms, China grew by 17.9% during 2011, India grew by 7.1%, and Canada grew by 11.5%.

In 2011, Russian economy overtook Indian and Canadian economy in nominal USD terms because of exchange rate increase.

India's nominal ranking in 2011 went from 9th largest economy to 10th largest economy.

In fact, if the rupee exchange rate continue to fall, and other currency continue to rise, India will fall behind even more economies such as Canada and Australia.

Even your own media disagrees with you.

China's economic growth slows to 9.2% in 2011 - The Times of India

The latest economic data from China is the growth for 2011, which is 9.2%.

The latest economic data from India is the growth from the past two quarters, which were both around 6%.

BEIJING — China’s economy grew by 8.9 percent in the final quarter of last year, better than economists had predicted but still signaling that the world’s second largest economy is starting to cool. A steep year-end drop in exports and a cooling real estate market contributed to the slowdown.:cheesy:

Data released Tuesday by China’s National Bureau of Statistics also revealed a new milestone: for the first time, the number of city-dwellers outnumbered those in rural areas. In 2011, the latest figures show, 51.3 percent of China’s 1.3 billion lived in urban areas. The latest numbers also showed China with a floating population of more than 252 million migrant workers, and it was unclear how they were counted.

So? Other currencies are rising against the USD, I'm just pointing out a trend suggesting other economies are growing faster than India in USD term.

Indians love to talk in 'overlatives', bigest this and largest that but no one seems to care about the quality of life. Even in 2030 you will not even be close to match life standard of poor European nations like Poland or Bulgaria who will not be in top 40 by then. So whats there to be proud of?

India is big, second largest country by population and a gdp/pp of $1250 already gives you a $ trillion plus economy but she's still one of the poorest countries in the world. That is the hard reality!

we are working on eliminating poverty and no one can have $ 50000 per capita income overnight it will takr decades to achive that and in case of high popullation countries its almost impossible but its better to have third largest economy + poor people than having pathetic economy + poor people.

How is it better except that it gives you something to brag about? Will the poor feel happy or sleep better knowing that their country is third largest economy in the world??

As I have already said, most threads by Indians are in the future tense. "India WILL do this, WILL do that, blah blah blah". These cheap propaganda artists should swallow some bitter pills and only post about their ACTUAL achievements if any. Keep your fantasies to yourselves. If you publicize themselves in the international arena, do not blame others when they laugh at you.

A country that can't design a single decent working assault rifle, sniper rifle, a working MBT that other countries would take a second look at, goes to foreign countries to seek assistance in building aircraft carriers and nuclear submarines to fool the masses of ignorant and hungry who number above 700 million, probably.

But we still are a million times better than Bangladeshis. You are so ashamed that you don't want to sport your country flag. Just being a muslim does not make you a turk or an Arab. so stop acting like one and stop taking credits for what they are achieving. take a close look at your country and decide if you are fit to criticize India's industries. And stop using Indian products please.

Really? No significant change seen in last 5 years in child death under 5 years due starvation.

every year millions join middle class...child deaths are due to uncontrolled population growth...not all can be given jobs...but we sure can give them food they need...we need better co-ordination between government and NGOs to reduce these deaths..
