India takes over operations of Iran’s strategic Chabahar Port

It's not a question of trust. Iran is the most sanctioned, isolated, ignored country on earth. It's like the most unpopular girl in the school who nobody wants even go near. Then somebody says 'hello' and of course she reacts positvely. But that is only because of the circumstances. Iran has it's own agenda like any country but right now they make big out of small crumbs that come their way. This being the Indian 'Chah' song.

Agreed. Even Russia is small part of it. The real benefits is Chah will give India access to Mars.

This is why I love the Iranians they know how to play real-politik unlike us or the Arabs, they been isolated since 1979, yet are still surrviving because of their diplomacy and their proper use of resources,Iran has no ills against Pakistan, I think Pakistanis are paronoid idiots about Iran because of brainwashing by the Arabs

Well, Iran is waiting for the US to leave so it can start to openly deal with that particular situation. Can ask Iranian members like @Tokhme khar , @SOHEIL @haman10 etc

Well, Russia is a bigger economy, Kazakhstan is rich in minerals. So why not. I think India was selling that north south corridor thing sometimes back.

BTW, Pakistan will have to face the exactly same situation, if not worse if it tries to trade with Europe and Russia. Transit via Afghanistan will have same issues for Pakistan.

.
The joint China/Pakistan effort which is being on one page, Thank God. This will be the force in this region that will play an important role. After 17 years the US is on the backfoot and they are now going to be bystanders and everyone is looking out for No.1 and not their partners interests.

Yet you got some idiots on this fourm who want to go to war with China over "muh Uighur" lol anyways

My take. After US leaves Pakistan, Iran will be partners in drawing out the new Afghan power landscape. I think both countries have matured since 1990s and can see that their failure to work together allowed outsiders from other side of the globe walk in to their backyard. I suspect China will also [along with Russia] play a overarching role to bring about some order in a post US Afgfhanistan. India will be left out in the cold. The game of snakes and ladders is about to go the other way. Snakes down for Pakistan in 2001 US invasion. Now it's time for ladder up.

And we can already see how Trump is bringing Pakistan into the effort as the recent Talib negotiation showed Pak played a significant role.

No one said taming the Afghans would be easy task, but India will have hard time in Afg cause its not in the region per se, Pakistan is in the region will have easier time just need the right folks in Kabul

Sure and factor in Mars in this partnership as well.

Issue with smaller and out of money religious countries is that they think world revolves around them.

All Trump needs to do is ditch Zalmay Khalizad and we can see negotiations will go full speed and Iran is much more matured their mistake was siding with the NA

What does Pakistan have to offer to Afghans? You don't have even enough money to build your own damn dams.

And ofcourse, if Pakistan's intelligence agencies can play spoil sport, so can Iranian and Indian ones too. Not to mention they have bigger budgets.

.
its NOT what we have to offer, we have taken care of them for decades. secondly they don't worship cows!
How do cows factor into this matter? Seriously folks, you have some kind of mental disorder or what or is this the proverbial language barrier? You guys hop from topic to topic faster than a schizophrenic.

Also, please elaborate this 'taken care of them' business and how does it give any kind of political milage to you in Afghanistan?

Incorrect. CPEC offers Pakistan all the connectivity with Central Asia, Russia that Pakistan might need. The motorways, highways in [refer to red line marking Islamabad, Pakistan to Kashgar, China] CPEC northern route like Hazara Motorway, Karakorum Hughway will link Pakistan with Kashgar. Rest is easy peasy as Kashgar is gateway to the entire Eurasian landmass. Please refer to map below -

You often hear about Pakistan being in a strategic location. Well there is a reason for that. Notice some of the CPEC route to Kashgar already has Russian script on it's road signage in Northern Pakistan. This should tell you something.

I think you pretty well know that those running the country in Pakistan might talk religion but they certainly don't get intoxicated by it. PM IK and COAS Bajwa's tight grip on athiest republic in Beijhing should jog your mind a bit or so I should think.

On the Xinjiang side much of the connectivity in the northern portion of the region is complete,Kazakhstan-China already have a Free port area filled with railroads, highways, and commercial zones so the Northern portion of teh Eurasian land route is complete sort of, its just the Soviet built infrastructure needs to be updated to full capacity and the southern portion which CPEC covers with Kashgar will take some time, for the sighs thats not new tho they been up since the 90s,2000s whenever I use to visit family in Abbottabad we would take the KKH and I use to see sighs in Cryllic and Chinese not new but give to the folks at the NHA they had good long term mind lol
