India takes on China at another battlefront: A Sri Lankan airport

How does Chinese control of Gwadar be a win win for India? Gwadar is under a 40 year lease agreement, it does not matter if Pakistan defaults it. We will continue to arm and strengthen Pakistan and you will react by importing more and more weapons and also increase your military expenditure while Indians starve.
Gwadar is just a pretext to control the Pakistani economy. Soon all Pakistani industries will be controlled by Chinese businessmen.

The debt burden of CPEC on Pakistan is unimaginable and will ruin her economy very soon. Thereafter Pakistan just like Venezuela will be at your mercy.

It is a Win Win situation for India as Chinese will be controlling Pakistan and its Establishment and Chinese would like to have a peaceful trading and economic relations with India unlike Pakistan.

India will keep on increasing its defence budget in proportion of its GDP. Investing in country's security should never be compromised even if its citizens are starved

Srilanka need to think twice... if they really want to replicate India in Srilanka!

It's a white elephant project by the former regime built to enhance the ego of Rajapaksa in his constituency, While a 2nd Int airport was needed, The Place he chose was neither technically or environmentally feasible.. Hence it has become a monumental failure.. The Lankan tax payers cannot be going on paying for this out of their pockets for long.. If India is willing to share in the burden let them, They think it's a strategic plan, Lankans think it's a good financial decision.. But the masterstroke here is the Hambantota port, Now thats the real prize.. That's already under Chinese commercial operation, With further developments in store.. So as far as Lanka is considered it's a win win situation

Your description of CPEP is the Indian fantasy version. Indians wish for Pakistan to fail so India can take it over.

Why should India take over any other country's assets. We didn't take advantage of our position even in 1971.

China has invested in CPEC and it is China baby and they will reap the benefits of CPEC

Pakistan's CPEC will not fail because of Indian fantasies or wishes but it might fail because of involvement of corrupt Pakistanis politicians, buerocrats and establishment.

Instead of who will win while others lose, you should consider win win scenario. Such as Doklam, both side won. India get to brag that it stopped China from build the road, while China station troops there permanently. That is a win-win for China India relationship.

I do not think China is interested in controlling Pakistan. This alliance had been in existence for half a century. China will forgive Pakistani debt and in return make Pakistan strong enough to counter India. Teach them how to fish, build up their industries and let them thrive. China and Pakistan need to work together and ensure peace in south asia. Btw, the debt is in yuan, does it matter?

Are we controlling Venezuela btw? They failed because of low oil price, Chinese debt was minuscule compared to the debt owed to the international bankers.

This bullshit between India and China is a joke, both countries need to deal with internal matters before they start trying to prove whose c*** is bigger. China and India have a lot of poverty and other matters to deal with first.

1. Is there any other country in the world, which have their Chinese debts forgotten (forgiven) ?

2. Which other country have you taught fishing and started importing goods from that country ?

3. Which other country in the neighbourhood is having peaceful relations with you ?

Talk is Cheap, You will do with Pakistan what you have done with other countries :p:

We teach them to fish so they have fish to eat themselves. Due to our competitive industrial base, we can't import high level goods from anywhere except developed countries. In terms of weapons industry, we transfer technology to Pakistan alot so they can build weapons themselves to defend Kashmir. :enjoy:

Pakistan, Tajikistan, Russia, Uzbekistan, Kirghistan, Myanmar, Mongolia, we basically solved all our land border disputes except with INDIA and BHUTAN(You know who was the shit stirrer). We are friendly with Cambodia, Brunei, Thailand, Laos, Malaysia, and Philipines despite having disputes. That's how we solve problems, we negotiate.
