India super poor, not superpower

I will choose India anytime over any other country.
Rather live in poverty as compared to get hanged for having second child.

india percapita is very low . there human devlopemnt index is too very low..
the percapita also isnt showing real situation as money is accumulated with only a few people in india..jsut look at the billionair list u will see too many indians...

the reason for large number of indians in billionare list is not what you think......the main reason for it is indian promoters prefer to maintain very high stakes in their companies to keep them under their control......one notable exception is Ratan Tata, who's stake in tata sons is less than 15%, and still he is the chairman of the company, and thats why he is farther back on the list...

The eminent writer and Congress MP, Mr Shashi Tharoor, on Thursday did some plain talk on India’s global aspirations and said the country was ‘super-poor rather than a superpower’.


He added that a large chunk of India’s people did not get three meals a day, had no roof to sleep under and were unable to educate their children. “We still haven’t solved these basic problems,” he said. “So we can’t claim to be a superpower.
