India subjecting Kashmiris to state terrorism
Srinagar, January 09 (KMS): In occupied Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyet Conference, Shabbir Ahmad Shah, has said that India is subjecting the Kashmiri people to state terrorism to victimise them for demanding their inalienable right to self-determination.
Shabbir Ahmad Shah visited different areas of Pulwama, today, to express solidarity with the families of innocent youth who were martyred by Indian police and troops during the last six months.
Addressing a public gathering in Khrew, he said that the occupation authorities were using draconian laws to suppress just struggle of the Kashmiri people.
He expressed serious concern over the continued illegal detention of Hurriyet leaders and activists including Muhammad Ashraf Sehrai, Yasmeen Raja, Mian Abdul Qayoom, Aasiya Andrabi, Ghulam Nabi Shaheen, Ghulam Nabi Sumjhi, Firdous Ahmed Shah, Zafar Akbar Butt, Qazi Yasir, Fehmida Sofi and Bilal Siddiqi. The APHC leader urged the world human rights organisations to send a representative delegation to take stock of the rights situation in the occupied territory.
On the other hand, the High Court Bar Association of occupied Kashmir in an emergency meeting in Srinagar, today, strongly condemned the attempt of a Hindu extremist leader to assault the Bar President, Mian Abdul Qayoom outside a court in Jammu.
