India should have annexed Bangladesh: Assam BJP MLA

There you go, Billu. Tai-Ahoms have their own script, language and tradition. Don't indulge in tomfoolery Billy.

Script looks identical to Bengali for me. The language itself has regional dialect 'bastardization' (bikriti) compared to correct Shantipuri Bengali though...

This is another case where a region got a halfway language when they should have adopted Bangla.....

You are confusing between the two scripts,Bill. Tai-Ahom script is proto-Sinaitic in origin heavily influenced by Burmese. All the tribes in Assam like the Deoris, Mishings, Bodos, Kacharis have their respective scripts and languages. Their cultures are different too. Axomiya language, the one which you have shared, acts as the link language.
