completely agree with you on that , but our stand on Israel-Palestine stands . India officially supports 2 state solution .

We are the 3rd largest energy consumer in the world and our consumption is increasing at a fast rate. It is renewables that is increasing and yes ME countries don't have much leverage on India except the expats who live there but still on principles we must help the both Israel and Palestine .

India is tolerant enough to have 80% Hindus and 20 % non Hindus in it. Look at Europe with few Muslims it is suffering from Islamophobia imagine if the number of Muslims increase it will go crazy which will happen in the future .
India only non-muslim country to have 172 million Muslims as citizens . Transfer 60 million Muslims to US or China or Europe it will give birth to 2 to 3 Hitler type dictators there hell bent on destroying Muslims.

Our official position is also for a free nation of Tibet since we host a Tibet govt. in exile.

US is the provider as long as Oil is sold in USD. But when it comes to dispute between M.E nations like Saudi vs Iran or Saudi vs Qatar, they like to hedge their bet and align themselves with India.
