India sees China as 'de facto competitor'

.
Have you heard of KKV?

The ABM missile with a KKV has more "maneuverability", that's what they are built for. Decoys are sent out when the missile is going back to atmosphere, Agni will not have the chance to release those decoys before they got intercepted.

Mao is not a good economist, but saying that he should be the only one to blame for China's poverty is simply absurd.

Since 1840, we had already been led toward poverty as getting looted by West/Russia/Japan.

Yes, we too had a same story like you. India had GDP share of 20% before British took over. British came to destroy our industries and dump all of their goods here. British got Kohinoor Diamond as a gift from an innocent 12 years old boy, this itself shows the way they plundered India. But our Crisis was not like China's, our worst period came in 1991, when India was bankrupt with foreign exchange reserve was just $1 Billion, our leaders realized that time has come to dump socialism.

Plus when the Agni was still in the outer space, we would always have time to launch more intercept missiles to make it 100% shot down.

Chinese ABMs can destroy all incoming indian missiles and return back safely to china.Who says chinese produce third rate weapons. Not me.

Let me explain you in this way ... ABM will be getting live feedback from the support systems which will guide it till the final strike. Now this advance ABM will fly in hyper sonic speeds ... now on the other hand we have this incoming missile who is in Mid Course and as standard feature in most modern missile not following straight path... now the ABM will be guided by live feeds from these systems and ABM has to be highly accurate as its a KKV so precision should be in 100%, now during ABM will exit the atmosphere due to temperatures ranging around 4000 Degree centigrade it will be impossible for ABM to receive the live feeds from supporting systems and will be flying blind until it reaches space so it will lose the feeds during that time and can get feed only when in space ... now during that time even if small Anti ABM measures will be installed in missile and it doesn't follow the straight path even simple S maneuver... this ABM has already lost its target by miles as both missile and ABM will be hyper sonic ... and thr will be only one chance to ABM .. coz it can only intercept not follow... unless the the missile travels a straight line path as done by satellites .... so these ABM can save you from missiles of late 80s but now these ABMs will be useless when targeting new missiles...

On November 27, at 10:15 hours, Air Defence Target-02 was launched from LC III. The Weapon System Radars picked up the target at 3 km altitude, MCC gave target assignment to LCC, Ground Guidance Computed the Initial Azimuth, time of launch of PAD and uploaded to On-board computer and the PAD interceptor lifted off when the Target was at Apogee and onboard guidance steered the interceptor towards target. The on-board seeker acquired the target, the stage separation and second stage motor ignition events happened as planned. The Terminal Guidance and Control performed flawlessly. All the mission events took place as expected. The PAD intercepted the Target successfully at an altitude of 50 km.

Defence Minister, Mr AK Antony conveyed his heartiest congratulations to the entire DRDO community and its Programme Director and Chief Controller of Research & Development, Dr VK Saraswat on the success of the mission.

mid course interception is still the best method. There is no maneuvering of ballistic missiles in mid course as you've said it would get too far from the target being up in space at high speeds an all. The maneuvering occurs at terminal phase when it re-enters the atmosphere to escape terminal stage ABM shields. Hence the fins or re-entry vehicles and other control surfaces and rocket motors.

So it took them total collapse of Soviet Union and total bankrupt of Indian financial system to realize they were on the wrong path! and there were no indicators prior to that?? Thats not a wake up but pure incompetency!

nope these are standard features these days ... the thrust of missile in mid course is programmed in that way so that missile don't follow straight line path ... its like not following shortest path between two lines but going in the same direction with different angles at times ...

Do you have any link about missiles maneuver in mid-course. I'm interested in learning more about it.

better check for Thrust Vectoring in missile ... both missiles and anti missiles share this tech and also Russians fighters ...
these vectoring thrust can be programmed to create small vectors to create a random path taking different angle to connect in the same direction as oppose to go in straight line.... as in space this is the only solution to maneuver coz thr is no atmosphere no friction ...

Instead teaching us look at your own home country, Pakistan was bailed out 17th time in 2008 by IMF/World Bank. And its only 4 years and Pakistan is waiting for another bankruptcy. India faced that only once in 1991 but Pakistan is waiting for its 18th term and blunder. And Pakistan is in great mess now, half of your budget is wasted in repaying debt and in the last only 17% is left for development purpose.
