Dude you are totally surrounded by Indian strategic partners . LOL you better keep up your usual paper fighter . Or reality will be very worst than tiny Vietnamese .

Its not stupidity but reality . We don't have to go into Chinese waters we can do enough damage by blocking their access to most important trade route ! IOR . And believe it or not stupidity or what ever . This is our strategy to go for naval offense in case of any mischief at the border region . Not today but tomorrow . When we get all SSN , SSKs , Carries , brahmos NG , 7 stealth frigates + 3 Russian frigates + 6 destroyers to name a few. With Andaman as our trip command under Navy India will be in a position for greater offensive .

And my friend when its war crazy moves have to be made and that's how we train our boys (till last drop of blood) . Once we decided we moves in .Got it ?

Blocking the sea lanes is a good option to counter the Chinese but it will be useless in a short term border conflict
Our main focus should be fortifying our position on the border & better CAS capability on border

Dude damage is one .But many different way to do it . And SSN are not defensive weapons but for long range offense .Believe it or not IN is planning for very big leap in terms of capabilities to take the fight into Chinese territory .Unlike land warfare where numbers matters but at sea the quality wins and dimensions of the fleets wins . India has immense amount of experience in plotting death trap to its enemy . With quality we already have , with experience , with multi tasking delivery system , increased numbers we will have greater possibility to be more ruthless . This is what our defends establishment thinks. Recently we shrunk mountain corp to make funds avail for INS Vishal and SSN , SSK

GoI just brought 145 ultra light M-777 for this Strike Corp which can be air lifted to any new location.

How is that part of scaling down ??? :azn:

MOD is trying to use its resources in a better manner that's it..... Vishal is not a China centric carrier. It is the 3rd carrier build to maintain 2 CBG operational all the time....Since it is the second one, it is going to be more advanced and probably with CATOBAR, provided US help us in this, even if they help, god know how much that is gonna cost to us (not in terms of money)

LOL Modi surrendered in the Himalayas. Now we will gain more territory control.

If at all balls were ballons a few commies would have been in space such is communist ego

The only territory u need to be worried is tianamen square who knows when people will get fed up... and hang commies

India is shifting towards US technologies for Indian Navy. Chances are in future India will try for F-35C & E-2 Hawkeye for air wing of INS Vishal.

Free Tibet :D

This is what I said earlier in one of the thread.
Deploying huge army with lack of technology and imported Apaches wouldnt be that feasible.
We need optimun manpower and maximum technology for them.
Mountain Corps should add slowly and helis can add easily and hugely after the induction of LCH.
Infact only Apaches and LCH can work on that terrain.
An outdated tactics of manpower based deployment without any tech will drain our source .And their movement would also become another headache considering the Himalayan terrains.

it is true or maybe just posturing because their confrontation will only help the west. countries in this region shouldnt fight on behalf of the west.

I dont think so sir.
Considering current rocketering trade relation with China the chances for a direct confrontation with China will be less.
Being two big nations in the Asia our war will be a strategic ,confrontation only for strategic interests.
A huge Army of 90000 with air support in Chinese border is not that strategic but more tactical. And huge deploying of manpower with less tech will drain our source.

But a CBG having 65000ton nuke AC with SSN will be more strategic .Strategic enough to protect our interest in the region.

Means that we cant use that against US .In fact we dont need to use that against US.They are already in IOR with a Diego Garcia atoll in their hand.
In that case it would be China centric.

Nothing wrong with what Modi did. Arming our military with potent weapons in huge numbers is the major need at this time. The amount of troops we have can be extended anytime.

The key difference is whether to have a military with 1.3 million soliders armed with WW2 weapons an very little protection versus 1 million soldiers armed with the latest gadgets....take your pick.

Our long term planning shouldn't be based on the number of troops we have but on how to quickly and effectively arm our entire population in the event of a major war. Long term planning like this will set us up for success.

With Drones being the future, investing in such tech and producing in huge numbers should be the need of the hour.

Building a huge AC soounds great but when China has demonstrated it can use it DF missiles to strike ACs...whats the point of investing so much with very little protection against such threats? Planners need to take note.

China has not settled the border issues with us. Stay alert....
