India-Saudi Arabia relations will continue to blossom: Faisal Bin Hassan Trad

Dude Indians have worked day and night to convert Arab nations from deserts to what they are today.Saudi Arabia is not licking our butt as you put it but rather they are grateful to us.When MMS visited Saudi you should have seen how warmly he was received.

Can you please explain what you have done above and beyond for them?

hmmm pakistan is supporting arabs because of two things...
a)One because of brother hood.. but they failed to understand that Arabs are different and Asians are different.. Arabs think that they are high class muslims .. but according to them others are low class.. while Pakistan thinks that they are part of there class...
b)Money $$$ :P.. because they are your active trading/financial partners.. if Pakistan had this relation ship (brother hood & trading-financial) with EU... it would be in different league altogether... see turkey.. how different they are ..

They understood it was not our war, but we helped them despite being a 3rd world country. The other countries were too scared/couldn't care less.

As I said, your annoyance is justified.

But then,if you think that relations with the entire Arab World with Pakistan can be built banking upon those fighter pilots sent to Egypt and Syria decades ago, then you are mistaken. The World simply doesnt work that way!!!Relations between countries are built and maintained by constant and resilient endeavors. You cannot really expect people to live in the pages of history, based on happenings a bit too feeble to make any mark. You have to understand one thing here, something that I personally understood the very hard way, that this World is no Utopian state!!!.

The faster you understand this, the better off you will be,believe me.

Of course. I never said there was anything wrong with trading with India.

That was just an example,in context with the thread.Don't get too personal on that.

Well, thanks for knocking some sense into me (I never thought about it this way)...

I really don't understand Arabs. I went to Oman, and they're the nicest and humblest people you're met- you want to stay there forever because of it. I went to Australia and met up with a Muslim community. They're (the arabs) are delighted to be with you. When you go to UAE, as a Pakistani you have no respect, all the goray expats can call you a terrorist and only the Iranis stick up for you.

I go to quite an expensive school and naturally it only has kids from western countries and the rest are from Iran or are Arabs. I have great friends there- arabs are amongst them... to think of it, as far as Pakistan bashing goes, only Indians and the expats participate (I'm the only Pakistani in my whole grade- so defending my country through words is tough) but we, as Pakistanis, defend arabs both on the political and personal level... I just felt it was time they did the same.

Its good for you that you already have earned so much of experience.Use it wisely, use it well.:):)

Pakistan once helped the Arabs based on the idea of Ummah or Islamic brotherhood if I am not mistaken. But there is something that you need to understand.Something is stronger than any religion,be it Hinduism,Islam or Christianity. That is basic Human nature!!World has moved ahead and past has become past. The Arabs find it more comfortable to sell their gas to the US as it is World's largest consumer.Hence, they have good relations.Pakistan,is not that big a market and has less potential for investments. So it does not feature anywhere near the top in the list of priorities. Its simple. As I said, money dictates the relations. There is no point being an idealistic here.

I was using the fighter pilots as an example! Like I said, Pakistan worked quite closely with UAE in its formative years...

Yes, just like the fighter pilot example

Religion matters, it always mattered and it always will matter. Why did they deny Turkey from the european union?

The reason why Muslim countries were the biggest donors to Pakistan during the flood? Religious ties.

Also, in the arab world, it is common knowledge that America blindly protects Israel. Why can they not stand up against it then? Anyway, I've understood now and I was just irrationally thinking on personal feelings... so I got nothing else to contribute to the topic.

Now that you have started drawing conclusions independently and rationally, the very need for discussion comes to an end.

It was nice talking to you.:)

How can you guys speak against the Saudis, they have been one solid pillar for Pakistan in so many ways and so many times, just because they have good realtions with you, doesnt mean they cant have good realtions with others , even if they are your enemies. Every nation has its own personal interests to take care of.

Please do not try to make issues among muslims. The caste system is deeply involved in the Hindu religion.

Cast system as part of religion and culture is two different things.

I can bet give freedom to low cast Hindus in India to convert , they will all convert to Christianity next day .

Who is not giving them that freedom? They don't convert because the privileges that are now available to them through reservation in most cases outweigh any inducements offered by missionaries which is why christian organisations want reservation to apply to those converted too.

And then?? what will happen after that... there life will be same.... by changing religion do they get anything?? i dont think so.. but by educating themselves on modern ethics and modern science there future is going to change.. there thinking will change.. they will contribute to the growth... religion/god is dumb.. if you think our god is great you are wrong.. he has actually divided the people... even within the same religion there is discrimination :D funny :D..... if god is great he could have come and enlighten every ones mind alike by directly entering the mind.. he doesnt need to preach one by one?? i guess we all are following devil whose success is enjoyed by dividing people... any way OT... As far as Hindu caste system is considered you dont need to worry.. there is no impact in Indo-Saudi arabia relation ship

Indians also comprise the biggest expat group in the GCC countries, almost 3.5 million who contribute to the local economy. Although 60-70% are still blue collar workers, increasing numbers are providing white collar service like migrant Indians have done in the US for e.g.
