this is how it will be tested on a IL-76 air frame and not of a tanker in Russia ,

High Altitude test have been conducted where kaveri Engine was put underbelly of IL and was made to run when the aircraft was up in the air , Kaveri was not powering it. now test have been successful , now interesting development comes , now one of IL-76 engine will be replaced by Kaveri engine and will power the actual aircraft and all other data will be monitored to check engine data and ones that's done it will power a Tejas PV-1 jet by mid of next year to certify it to be air worthy it will not power Tejas currently or in future but will power range of UAV's which DRDO is working and also on AJT which DRDO wants to start

well in my opnion they are going to replace 2 out of 4 IL76 engines with Kaveri.

2 original russian will be used as stanby and the IL 76 will fly on Kavery. offcource the plane wont be carring any load.

The F22 has an advertised RCS of 0.001m2 for the X-band. In comparison the Mig-29 has an RCS of 5m2.
