India, Russia conclude negotiations for S-400 Triumf deal

The difference between China and India is that India have not show any innovation capability. It even has no reverse engineering aptitude. Something Iran is quite capable of. Because of this limitation, India would be better working with exclusively with a major power. Such as with USSR during Cold War and with USA Atoday. In this case, the #1foreign policy priority of India is to developa strong relationship with US. I envision US India relationship would pattern after US-Japan or US-Australia relationship. With India open up its bases to US military.

That's your own biased opinion.

But, if you consider reverse engineering "innovation", then no, India isn't "innovative" enough.

S400 was just a matter of Time

More Rafales are just a matter of Time

A fifth generation fighter is JUST amatter of time and which ine ie F35 or SU50 / FGFA

If S-400's number are finalized and signed, FGFA Prototype will soon arrive in India, S-400 deal was the one of the top issue tat was blocking 5th Gen deal with Russia

Everyone reverse engineers. Even Stalin reverse engineered a B-29. East Asians, Persians, Turks, and Europeans, India’s master can all reverse engineer. India has no such capability.

You don't have to worry mate,tTaiwan has the original ones and china the copied ones.thats the reason China has not dared to attack your country even though yours is a small country.they know how far the copied ones will go

You seem to talk as if reverse engineering is some sort of virtue.
I guess it's just you lot trying really hard to justify it.

We don't need that capability, we do things properly so that we attain all of the knowledge like it was meant to be absorbed, as copies are mostly never as good as the real thing.

India need to learn that there is no such thing as proper or improper way of acquiring defense technology. It’s you have it or don’t have it.

Well, it's far too complicated than just "having or not having tech".
It's never that black and white.

China's security needs are an uphill task unlike ours, we can make do with just defense which gives us some leeway, china on the other hand has to project power as it is facing adversaries far too powerful and far too many, which requires china to have advanced weapon systems ready and in numbers.

Sure, you can technically have a workable product by reverse engineering but it is never truly complete, and is over all expensive and glitchy as compared to something that has been 6 Sigma'ed.

Just heard there's another BOP crisis looming in Pak. China is being asked for 1 more loan.

No, but rather like Hindoostan and it's 1000000 gen vedic technology.
So, which technology can you attribute to Pakistan? Anything at all. Please enlighten us.

India would not be buying S-400. The news was released to manage the public opinion. If Modi cancels the S-400 deal like SU-57 then the public backlash would be huge. So to manage the public opinion, it was announced that India is planning to procure S-400 but later the project would be dropped with a excuse that cost of US sanctions would be much higher than the benefits of procuring S-400.
