India removes entry and exit restrictions for Bangladeshis

Previously, Bangladeshis could only travel through the ports indicated on their visas.
The Indian Bureau of immigration has removed entry and exit restrictions on visas issued to Bangladeshi nationals, said a press statement released on Tuesday.

After the removal of this restriction, any Bangladeshi, with the name of the entry or exit point (by air or by road) in their Indian visa, will be able to enter or exit India through any of the 24 international airports and two integrated check posts, in addition to the entry or exit point mentioned in the visa, according to the statement.

The international airports include Ahmedabad; Amousi (Lucknow); Amritsar; Bagdogra; Bangalore; Calicut; Chandigarh; Chennai; Cochin; Coimbatore; Dabolim (Goa); Delhi; Gaya; Guwahati; Hyderabad; Jaipur; Kolkata; Mangalore; Mumbai; Nagpur; Pune; Trichy; Trivandrum and Varanasi.

The two integrated check posts are Benapole-Haridaspur and Darshana-Gede.

Previously, Bangladeshis could only travel through the ports indicated on their visas.
