I have often read these lines on this forum.
Is there any authentic antecedent for this ?
If so, must have been developed post 1971. Coz there is nothing there for the Bangla folk.

I stand corrected.Appears so , in fact after 1971 as Bengal finds no mention whereas the idea of a muslim nation sprouted from there.
I'll wait for a responsible Pak poster to confirm/ deny this.
It does not explain the acronym but hints at it.
Without Bengal, Pakistan would never have been formed even.Thank you
Well..only if wants to force the connect.
What surprises me is that Pak posters reinforce the point that Bengal was not meant to be a part of their nation each time this acronym is used.
You really need to take your privacy more seriously. Things are not so nice in the open world out there. I suggest you remove your attachment... especially given the kind of days we live in...

Probably that.So the question is, did the Bangalis not see what was coming?
Probably that.
Indian intelligence must be given credit here. They did a very good job. With help from the Soviet Union. Atheist/communist/nationalist movements or anti Islamist sentiment gained momentum quickly. The Muslim leadership remained very complacent. Islam or rather the people's imaan was weakened gradually in the name of language.

True.Bengalis have regained their Islamist sentiment to a very large degree. They may never be pro-Pakistan but they are still vociferously anti-India. Something which India failed to understand was that it was not 'Pakistan' specifically that was its enemy. As long as Islam remains, India will have us as an enemy.

From my brief interactions with Bangladeshis - they seem divided. A majority of them loathe Pakistan but a significant minority pine for the pre-1971 era.
True.
That is Islam's natural position. The weakening of faith was temporary. As long as the Soviets remained, the Communist and Socialist Parties had a strong following there. Student movements, questioning dogma, religion was common. After the Soviet fall, India alone had no money to sustain it. Only now has India gained some of it. But that is enough only to maintain Awamy League - not to gain any advantage. It will slowly become an Islamic State.
Agreed about the latter statement as well - Pakistan is only a symptom. I would slightly modify the statement you wrote. As long as kufr exists in this land - we will always have enemies.
Btw, have you studied Hindu scripture?
Which would make it a never-ending duel. Indians loathe Pakistan because they are Pakistanis - Pakistanis loathe India because they believe all Indians are Hindus. To Indians, by and large - the religion is irrelevant. Pakistan tries too hard to be a part of Arabia. Even the Arabs are not as anti-Hindu.
