It's got nothing to do with Islamic nations "helping" India or anything, this remittance is from Indian WORKERS in these countries sending money home. They work DAMN HARD for this money don't belittle their acheimvnets- they contribute a hell of a lot to these "Islamic countries" and without these Indians workers and other workers from other nations these "Islamic nations" would be signifcanlty worse for it, they would most likely still be barren desert with self-entitled locals swanning around in a/c SUVs not lifting a finger.

Quoting a recent study conducted by Reserve Bank of India, he said remittances from Gulf countries accounted for an average 27 per cent of the total remittances to India

Remittances from the GCC countries to Bangladesh and Pakistan where the GCC countries account for 60 per cent or more of overall remittance inflows grew by 8 per cent and 31 per cent, respectively in the first three quarters of 2011 on a year-on-year basis.

With so much monry (around $20 billion) or so coming in from the gulf nations these guys should super glue their lips to the Islamic Arabian you know what. !

We have always had good relations with Iranians, Arabs, Turks and Indonesians. The only Muslim country we don't like is Pakistan, though PDF Bangladeshis are really trying hard to enter their country in this exclusive VIP list of countries India hates

@topic: Looks like the NRIs are taking advantage of the rupees depreciation, certainly it has helped the exporter at the time of this slowdown.
Infact we should be happy that China is trying hard to devalue its currency manually and at the same time India's currency is depreciated and it is being critised by people. It is one chance to increase export and control the imports..
