India reacts to Barack Obama: ‘Aberrations don’t alter nation’s history of tolerance’

We get daily dose of lectures on religious tolerance from different countries and countrymen...... While agreeing to the fact we have an issue in our country, and there are people from different religion who holds extreme views against each other....

But is there a country which can be considered to be a saint in religious tolerance????? Does anyone consider the kind of population India has and the number of different religion we has in our society???? If any of this country had half of the population of India and half of the number of religions and society india had, would love to see the way the handle this issue.......

The most easiest thing to do is, Preaching and giving directions..........

Does any country have the muslim population that India does, juxtaposed against a significant non muslim populace, and still have a better record of religious and civil harmony?

US have a very good reputation when.it comes to tolerance .Look at the things that had happened there by pilgrim fathers .Their tolerance was fanatstic so that now there isonly less than 1% Red Indians inthere.

If this drama was against Muslims they dont even care about it.
But GoI is already begin the crackdown of illegal money flow of Christian NGOs .It will reduce the US and west ability to manipulate the politics in India .So they dont like it.

Nope. There are no atrocities against muslims in our country. Only communal riots and violent conflagrations from time to time. That are fewer in number and frequency as we move along.

If there is a problem, its far far smaller than in any other country even passingly similar to Indian demographics.

1) As many muslims as India has

2) A significant non-muslim populace living cheek by jowl with the above

Can you point out one incident in the history of independent India that could qualify as such?

There are several such incidents happened in Independent India, Gujarat for example.....Now I am not here to say who is right or who is wrong in this so called "atrocities" and we are discussing how things have been perceived......( i have used that word with respect to headlines)

don't be a pseudo secular, muslims are threat to this nation, except a few, better to deal with them now, then to feel sorry later.
