Gujarat
i don't care for your signature, and i don't have one.
but give up ur pseudo secular attitude, won't going to take you anywhere.
its funny to see a nation which treats its its muslim population as 3rd class citizens preach us of religious tolerance.
Gujarat was a case of spontaneous communal violence that erupted after the burning alive of Hindu karsevaks by a mob of Muslims. In the mob frenzy that ensued with Hindus baying for blood, not just Muslims perished, but so did Hindus, and so did the police who were deployed to get things back to control.
An atrocity by its very insinuation is one sided, against a helpless victim. In this case neither were the Muslims victims, nor as was evidenced by the final Hindu body count, helpless.
Yes, the Muslims came off worse in this encounter. That's about all that can be said without stretching the bounds of credulity.
You have to read my post where i mentioned "atrocities" once again.... it was in the context of headlines......
* Massacre of Muslims in Hyderabad in 1948
* Massacre of Sikhs durin Op Blue Star and later after Indara's assasination.
* 90,000+ Muslims killed in Kashmir.
*270+ Mass graves identified so far.
*Destruction of Babri Mosque
*Massacre of Muslims in Gujarat
* Ongoing suppression of Naxals and Northern tribes.
If India and its Hindu elite is 'tolerant' than there is something wrong with the word itself.
yes, this will be better.
and then only god will bless india.
Was obama referring to intolerence to kashmiri pandits their mass exodus ?
so kind of him.
Now it is time for your medicine....... God bless you, dont quote me again pls...
@doppelganger Now here we have a classic example of religious intolerance i was mentioning.....
See here's the thing. As a democracy we have the right not to like a section of people, for their beliefs or faith, or indeed their faith itself.
However, acting upon that is not done. Hence I don't really have a problem with guys like these or my recently banned friend. I do not expect 1.25 billion Indians to all like one another.
I really think that we have done quite well, especially every time I look west. The current Hindu far right incidents I see as necessary catharsis after 60 years of congressi muslim appeasement.
Notice I did not use the word minority. Lets say it like it is? Would be a great start to collective national honesty.
It is not about liking or disliking, it is about tolerance towards the other section of community......Intolerance can be either ways.......
